The Project 3Ship Cruises

3Ship.cruises describes a project that is intended to help cruise shipping become more sustainable. Oesterreichischer Lloyd, with its many years of history and experience as an experienced shipping company, is leading the project as a co-initiator. „3Ship.cruises” describes a project that is intended to help cruise shipping become more sustainable. Österreichischer Lloyd, with its many years of history and experience as an experienced shipping company, is leading the project as a co-initiator.

The aim is to initiate a lighthouse project for tourism, cruises in particular and shipping in general. The great form of traveling by ship is being modified, taking many aspects into account: the use of natural propulsion energy, technical innovations for more sustainable operation, protection of marine flora and fauna, consideration of the regional characteristics in target regions, equality and the right to success for everyone in the project those involved.

The 3Ship.cruises project envisages the purchase of a flotilla with 3 catamarans in 2024. This will be used from 2025 after the first three-ship flotilla is completed. Further flotillas are being planned.

Travel around the world

The trips planned for 2050 and already bookable for 10 guests by ship lead to the most beautiful islands and bays. In 17 main travel destinations, the possible sporting activities for at least a week include diving, snorkeling, kiting or surfing, as well as exploration trips by bike. Getting to know the culture and people in the travel regions at eye level is of course part of the program. Tour-Operator is Ayurveda Tourism.

Sustainability, the 17 SDG´s

The ships use wind and solar energy and are made of absolutely sustainable materials. The cooking is regional. Everything on board follows the principle of CO2 neutrality. The crew supports local sustainability projects in the destination ports and leaves no waste behind. The compliance with sustainable values is monitored by the MMC e.V., especially the compliance with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.

Technology and luxury

The most modern environmental, power generation and storage technology as well as IT innovations such as Web3.0 avatars for everything on the ships are part of the equipment and logistics concept. Sustainable technological innovations in the future will be taken into account when building additional ships. Specialized partners are involved for luxury, secure and sustainability
